LuckyFork LLC ("LuckyFork," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit luckyfork.app, use the LuckyFork app, or sign up for early access.

By using our website or app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect payment card information directly. If payment features are introduced in the future, they will be processed through a third-party provider such as Stripe, and no raw card data will be stored by LuckyFork.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and maintain your LuckyFork account.
  • Power personalized restaurant and experience recommendations.
  • Build and refine your taste profile to improve results over time.
  • Generate your annual LuckyFork Recap — a personalized summary of your dining and nightlife activity for the year.
  • Provide location-based suggestions when location services are enabled.
  • Communicate with you about your account, app updates, and launch news.
  • Improve and develop the LuckyFork product and service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Friends and Social Features

LuckyFork includes optional social features that let you connect with friends inside the app.

Friend connectionsWhen you add someone as a friend and they accept, you become mutually connected. Both parties must agree to the connection — one-sided adds result only in a pending request until accepted.
Shared favoritesOnce a friend connection is established, your saved restaurants and bars are visible to that friend inside the app.
Recent picksWhen you use Lucky Pick or tap "Let's Go!" on a saved spot, a brief activity record (venue name, category, and date) is stored and made visible to your confirmed friends. This is limited to your 10 most recent picks. You can remove a friend at any time to stop sharing.
Removing friendsYou can remove a friend at any time from within the app. Upon removal, your activity is no longer accessible to that user.

Friend connections and activity data are stored securely in Firebase Firestore. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored securely on our servers and through trusted third-party infrastructure providers. Waitlist submissions are stored via Netlify Forms. App account data is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at legal@luckyfork.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies or similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors interact with the site. This data is aggregated and anonymous — we use it to improve the site experience, not to identify individual users.

You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not function as intended.
